CSIR NET Chemical Science Eligibility criteria

Before signing up for the CSIR NET 2024 exam, make sure to check if you meet the CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2024. These rules outline what you need to qualify for either a Lecturer position or a Junior Research Fellowship. They cover things like where you're from, your education, and your age. It's important to understand these criteria before applying.​​


CSIR NET Educational Qualification 2024

Candidates must possess a degree in B. Pharma/BE/B.Tech/MSc/MBBS integrated BS-MS/MS-4 years or an equivalent degree in prescribed streams with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.

Applicants belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/PWD) are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum educational qualifying marks for CSIR NET 2024. However, age relaxation applies only to candidates with degrees in B. Pharma/BE/B.Tech/MSc/MBBS integrated BS-MS/MS-4 years.

Candidates pursuing a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) are eligible to apply for CSIR NET 2024, provided they possess educational certificates for (10+2+3) and the duration of their Master's Degree does not exceed 2 years.

Candidates under the "Result Under Awaited" category can apply with a digital print of their mark sheet bearing the signature of the relevant higher authorities of the educational institute.

Individuals pursuing a degree in B.Sc. or enrolled in the MS-PhD Program with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks are eligible to apply for CSIR NET 2024.

Those who have completed Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Science and Engineering are eligible if they are enrolled in a PhD or integrated PhD program for a duration of two years.

For Lectureship positions, candidates must have completed their Master's Degree before September 19, 1992, with a minimum of 50% marks.

Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree are not eligible to apply for CSIR NET 2024.
